─── WHY THIS WORK MATTERS
When a business thrives, so does everything around it.
Business has always been part of my world. I grew up surrounded by family members who ran their own businesses, so I understood early that owning a business isn't just a job. It comes home with you.
When a local business closes, the ripple effect is real! Employees who lose income, contractors who lose a client, a gap left behind in the community. I've heard those stories, and they land differently when you've been close to the work.
And I've seen the other side too. What happens when a business gets the right support at the right time. How it steadies. How the owner gets breathing room back. How that changes things at home, not just at work. This is where more opportunities lie.
That's why Outlign exists. When small businesses succeed, the people around them do too.
─── WHAT TO EXPECT
What working
with me looks like.
I'll be straight with you… about what I see, what I think, and what I'd do if it were my business. You're not hiring me to tell you everything is fine.
Some of what comes out of the work may be confronting (or maybe you’ve known it all along but it’s time to do something about it). But a lot of it will be energising! Running a business is serious work (that nobody could have truly prepared you for). It doesn't need to feel relentless every day either.
If part of you is thinking "I should be able to figure this out on my own", that's worth naming. Most capable business owners feel exactly that. Getting the right support isn't the opposite of independence. It's what makes it sustainable. Just because you can do it, doesn’t mean you always should.
Think of it as having a thinking partner genuinely invested in where your business is going. Someone who knows it as well as you do, asks the questions you haven't thought to ask, and backs the honest answers with a plan. Or sometimes owning a business can feel isolating and it;s great to have someone in your corner to sort out all the million thoughts that keep you up at night or the attention away from the kids.
