Business Coach on the Central Coast for Small Business Owners

Amanda McKee, business coach and advisor for Central Coast small business owners across Gosford, Wyong and Terrigal

Central Coast businesses sit in a strange middle zone. You're not Sydney. The clients, the price points, the labour market and the lifestyle pull are all different up here. But you're not regional NSW either. The competition is real, the customers are switched on, and the shortcuts a country business might get away with don't fly here.

A lot of the business coaching and consulting out there is built for Sydney businesses. The Central Coast is its own market and the advice should be too.

I'm Amanda McKee. I help small business owners across the Central Coast work out what's really going on, then build the plan and help do the work.

Coaching, advisory and implementation in one place

Most coaches focus on mindset. Most consultants drop a report and disappear. I do both, then help you build the fix.

That implementation bit is the part most owners are short on. You don't need more advice. You need someone who can diagnose the real problem (not the loud one), then either talk you through the decision or get into the work with you. I look at eight areas of your business together so we don't patch one thing while another quietly breaks.

Who I work with on the Central Coast

I work with small business owners across Gosford, Erina, Wyong, Tuggerah, Terrigal, The Entrance, Avoca, Woy Woy and the surrounding areas. Mostly service-based. Trades and construction, allied health and clinics, professional services, creative agencies, hospitality and retail.

Most of the Central Coast owners I work with are doing somewhere between $300k and $3m, have been at it for a few years, and are at the point where they know something needs to change.

What small business owners tend to bring to me

Common focus areas:

  • Getting clear on priorities when everything feels equally urgent

  • Pricing the work properly for the Central Coast market, not the Sydney one

  • Building systems so the business runs without you holding it together every day

  • Knowing where leads are actually coming from (and where they should be)

  • Marketing that brings the right kind of client in, not just any client

  • Building a team that doesn't drive you mad

  • Growing without losing yourself in the process

How we work together

Three ways in.

Focus Session. A 90 minute structured advisory session for one problem you can't crack. Starts from $250. Fee credits to a Clarity Audit if you continue.

Clarity Audit and Roadmap. A full look at the whole business across eight areas. You leave with a practical roadmap, not a pretty deck.

Momentum and Traction. Ongoing advisory partnership for owners who want sustained progress and a thinking partner who knows the business.

We can also personalise a package. Most owners need something between the standard tiers and that's fine.

Section: Where I'm Based

Where I'm based

I'm based in Lake Macquarie with family living on the Central Coast, so I'm down here often. Most work happens online which suits owners who can't afford to lose half a day to the M1. In person works for kickoffs or when we need time on the ground in your business.

Mel McKee, founder of Crystal Wolf Cleaning, and successful client of Outlign business coaching and advisory in the Hunter Valley

“We built our processes ourselves as we grew, and what worked when we were small was creating real bottlenecks.

Amanda came in, assessed everything with fresh eyes, and helped us rebuild from the ground up. Admin systems, sales process, client experience, how we presented the brand.

The last twelve months have been our biggest growth period yet.”

Frequently asked questions

Q. How is Central Coast small business different from Sydney?

A. The clients are different. The price ceiling is different. The competition is different. The pace is different. The staffing market is different. A growth strategy that works in North Sydney often doesn't make sense in Erina, and the other way around. The advice should match the market.

Q. Are you actually based on the Central Coast?

A. I'm based in Lake Macquarie which puts me close enough to be down on the Coast regularly. Most of the work happens online, so distance isn't really the question. In person is on offer when it'll actually help.

Q. Do you only work with certain industries?

A. No. Most of my background is in trades and construction, but the frameworks apply across service-based businesses. Allied health, professional services, hospitality, retail and creative agencies are all common.

Q. How much does it cost to work with you?

A. Focus Sessions start from $250. Ongoing work depends on scope. I'll quote you properly after the discovery call. If the standard options don't fit your situation, we can build a custom package.

Q. How long does it take to see results?

A. A Focus Session gives you clarity and priorities the same day. Bigger changes like systems, brand and team take months to bed in. The point is sustained progress, not quick wins that don't last.

Q. What happens on the free discovery call?

A. 20 minutes. You tell me what's going on. I ask the questions that get to the heart of it. If Outlign is the right fit we'll talk next steps. If it's not I'll tell you. You'll leave with at least one practical thing to do regardless.

─── READY? ───

It starts with a conversation.

20 minutes. No pitch, no pressure. Just an honest conversation about where your business is, where you want it to go, and whether Outlign is the right fit. You'll leave with clarity either way.
